What is "Grow Together?"
LOVE GOD GROW TOGETHER SERVE THE WORLD
At The Grove, we try to simplify what we do. We are basically about three things: Love God, Grow Together, and Serve the World. This both defines our passions and values, as well as our discipleship process as we move people from a relationship with God, to growing in Christ and building community, and then out in to the world to love and serve.
Grow Together is the second step in our ministry process here at The Grove, because we believe that life lived in community is better than life lived alone.
Whether it's breaking into small groups in the children's ministry, high schoolers meeting midweek for Bible study, or adults converging at someone's house for prayer and study, church-wide we believe in the value of Growing Together. Primarily this is accomplished through what we call Life Groups.
The first Christian churches "devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer" (Acts 2:42), and this is our model for Life Groups at The Grove... smaller "churches" within the larger "church," if you will.
In a Life Group, the goal is that you would CONNECT with others and build meaningful relationships, CARE for each other and BE cared for as life throws at us all it's unique difficulties, and CHALLENGE each other to live more fully and completely in the way of Jesus.
