"Expressions" is the Home for Artists at The Grove
The arts have the ability to move people, to touch their souls, to encourage and inspire. And for too long the church, who once led-the-way in the arts, has not known what to do with art and in turn, artists. Here at The Grove we want to change that.
Join a community of artists who, like yourself, love to make art that moves people, that brings glory to the King, that expresses a heart of worship.
Worship Beyond Music
There are a myriad of ways to express our worship to God, and it goes far beyond just music. It can be easy to associate worship with just music, with just the singing and stuff we do on Sunday mornings... but not EVERYONE is wired that way. Not everyone expresses their adoration, their worship for God through the medium of music. Some paint, carve, sculpt, write, draw, build, create, photograph, and more... and here at The Grove, we not only say that's okay, we ENCOURAGE it!
So if you find yourself wanting, nay, NEEDING, a place to encourage and support you as an artist, then come and join us.
What is the difference between a random snapshot and a photographic work of art?
Is it the style or the content? The intention or the message?
Can anyone even explain it? Why don't you just SHOW us !?
The Grove's next expressions gallery will feature photography and digital artwork. Show us what YOU have created that you consider a work of art - using the camera and/or the computer.
Submissions:
All pieces must be suitably famed or mounted and ready to hang on a wall. Drop pieces off at The Grove office starting Aug 20. Deadline is August 29. Exhibit will be on display Sept 1 - Sept 26.
