Thanks for checking out thegroveaz.org! We hope you'll click around and get a feel for who we are and what we do.
We have two initial steps to help you get connected with life at the Grove!
1. The Grove Up Close: This is the first step into the Grove. The Grove Up Close happens once a quarter on a Sunday afternoon from 12:15-1:15. We provide lunch for you and your family (bring your kids) and you'll hear from some of our pastors and ministry leaders as they share the vision and life at The Grove.
2. Roots Class: The Roots class is a three-week class we hold a few times a year. During this time you will make some new friends as you learn about the beliefs, values, and ways to serve and get "plugged in" at The Grove. This is also the pathway into becoming a covenant-member.
To answer any questions you may have, follow any of the links to the left, and if that still leaves you confused, don't hesitate to contact us via email or phone anytime.

- What Is The Children’s Ministry All About?
We believe that God places a high value on children and holds us responsible for teaching and nurturing them. Every child is an individual and precious treasure, a gift, from God that comes with great responsibility. We also believe that children can be used by God to do His work (Matthew 19:14; 18:10 / Mark 9:37, 42). It is our goal to strengthen and equip children as they live out thief faith at home, in their community, and in the world. We desire to form a partnership with the parents and families in this.
- What Do I Do If I’m New?
If you are new, check out the service times and locations (campus map) and stop by the appropriate classroom approximately 10 minutes before the start of class. We will have you fill out some basic information to register your child and then give you information about our ministry and what you can expect.
- When Can/Should I Check my child(ren) In?
We ask that you check in your child at least 5 minutes prior to the 8:00, 9:30 or 11:00 services. Please pick up your child immediately after the service has ended.
- What Is Your Sick Child Policy?
We operate a Well-child program. For the protection of all the children in our ministry, we cannot accept a child with a running nose, fresh cold (4 days or less), fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea, or any other signs of illness. We request that you do not place your child in the program while they are at risk of exposing other children. Thank you for your help in maintaining a healthy environment for all of our children and their families.
- Do You Offer Snacks?
We do often have snacks during our services for our younger children. We do ask though that when you register your child that you indicate if they have any food allergies and if so, what type(s).
- What Happens if There is a Problem with My Child During the service?
When you register your child, there is a space where you will enter your cell phone number. We ask that you have your cell phone with you in the service and set to silent ring and/or vibrate. This is what we will use to contact you if there is a problem of any kind with your child during the service.
- What Are The Leaders/Volunteers Like?
Our volunteers are top notch, caring, Godly leaders who are dedicated to serving God by serving you and your children. They are carefully selected and placed to best fit their gifts and abilities. Feel free to get to know the volunteers in your child’s room and commit to praying for them as they ministry along side you to your children.

What We Believe at The Uprising (High School)
We believe the student years are the most influential in a person's life.In our High School Ministry we look to show students what it means to love God, how vital it is to grow together, and that our responsibility as neighbors is to live a life of love by serving the world.
Love God - Students can learn who God is and what it looks like to love Him through the lessons that we have at our mid week and Sunday programs. It is a great way for students who don't really understand God, or maybe
have never known God personally, to get to know Him on a relational level.
Grow Together - Fellowship and building relationships as students come to church is what we're all about at The Uprising. Our Wednesday Night and Sunday morning programs focus on this by having the students interacting together with God's Word and with eachother through lessons that involve big group and small group discussions. We also have multiple camps and service trips throught the year, which provide an opportunity spend a years worth of Sunday mornings together in one condensed trip.
Serve the World - We feel strongly about exposing our students to mission and service opportunites. We bring teams to Compton and Haiti on a yearly basis and are currently focusing on how we can aid and serve Malawi, Africa. We also believe that serving the world starts in our communities and expands out from there, which is why we anually partner with Live Love to help rebuild and serve local families and their communities.

Our next Life Group sign up will be in January.
Life Groups are centered around the gospel, modeled after biblical community and committed to missional living.
Life Groups are the primary way we grow together at The Grove.
There are three main ways we GROW in a Life Group together…
1.Grow our faith –we believe and apply the gospel in our lives
2.Grow our relationships –we experience meaningful community together
3.Grow our mission –we bless others and share the love of Jesus
How are Life Groups formed?
Life Groups are made up of diverse groups of people. Just like our church has various genders, ages and life-stages, so do Life Groups.
We do our best to find a group that is in close proximity to where you live. This helps living in community and on mission together to happen more frequently.
All groups have a leader that cares for the group and gives direction to the group in a way that supports the vision and mission of The Grove.
Life Groups meet in a home weekly or every other week to grow in faith and relationships. It also meets at various ways/times to gather together or serve to bless others.
Every once in a while men just need to be with other men, doing “guy-stuff”, and being reminded what it means to be a Godly-man. Whether you are single, married, a dad or retired, The Grove wants to help you connect and build relationships with other guys. For more info about our men's ministry, contact Pastor Brent @ email@example.com
The Huddle –next series begins Wednesday, January 15th 6:30-7:30am
The Huddle is our men’s study with coffee, food, teaching and great interaction. This is a great way to meet other guys and be encouraged throughout the week.
The Huddle meets from 6:30-7:30am in the multipurpose room. Come join us as we deepen our faith and grow as godly men.
Women's Ministry is designed as the perfect avenue for women of all ages and backgrounds to develop relationships with other women here at The Grove. If you’re looking for a place to connect and grow in your walk with the Lord please look at our latest groups/studies. We look forward to seeing you there.
We offer various opportunities on Sunday mornings to engage in a "Grow Together" experience. Some of these opportunities meet every Sunday, while others rotate throughout the year. Check back often to find out what is available now, and what is coming soon.

Our hours of operation:
Serve The World
At The Grove, we try to simplify what we do. We are basically about three things: Love God, Grow Together, and Serve the World. This both defines our passions and values, as well as our discipleship process as we move people from a relationship with God, to growing in Christ and building community, and then out in to the world to love and serve.
Serve the World is the third step in our ministry process here at The Grove.
Upon raising from the dead, Jesus sent out his followers with this charge, “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19,20). He then said to them, “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
Most people begin at our first step, "Love God," by coming and being a part of our Sunday Morning Gatherings. Then, after a while, they make the commitment to be more a part of the church by moving to the second step, "Grow Together," and joining a Life Group.
Our hope, is that everyone would understand that part of our ultimate goal at The Grove is that we would be a community of people who "Serve the World."
This is what the ministry process moves people towards; an awareness that, as Jesus said, we are here to serve, not to be served.
We accomplish the "Serve the World" process by providing opportunities for, and partnering with organizations that, show and share the love and hope of Jesus to a broken and hurting world. There are three aspects to "Serve the World," LOCAL (our "Jerusalem"), REGIONAL (our "Judea and Samaria") and GLOBAL (the "ends of the earth").
